Yes that's right folks. After much packing, much stress, and lots of horrible soreness from having to move said packed items up three flights of stairs, I HAVE RETURNED!
Whew. Where to begin...
Well I suppose the moving day. I mean its not like anything happened durring the days I was packing. Just a whole lot of...packing. o.o; And getting up early to do it. That too.
By the end of four days, though, I was already screamin' sore, thinking all my limbs were going to simultaniously fall off of my body. Even after all the sorting that Mom and I did before we first moved, even after all my throwing out a ton of junk to Goodwill, I still had ALOT of shit. And this being a small place I was hard pressed to not bring as much as I normally would. Any furnature I wasn't taking was sold to Carol to take care of back rent, or atleast start on that, and the only thing other then boxes that wound up in the shed in back (for transportation to a storage unit on Sunday) was my hopechest. Mom's is with me. It makes a good coffee table/storage place. <.<;
So the big day came, and guess who fell asleep in the middle of packing in the morning and didn't get her room done? Yup. Me. I was dead tired, though! But Carol was cool about it, since I needed more boxes anyway, and said I could take my time and we'd leave when I was ready. So I finished packing like a madwoman and then the 'hired help', basically some of Carol's family, showed up and we got the van and truck loaded. All my stuff in one load from Canby to Beaverton! W00t! Then we had the arguious task of getting it all up from the ground floor to the third floor. Needless to say we had alot of tired people after that was done. And one very, very sore and bruised one from four days of fighting with boxes and other such heavy things. Seriously. Having a bed boxspring fall on your back is NOT cool. e.o;;; I sware, the inatamate objects got the upper hand.
Manny is really cool. He likes to just sit around and BS. ^^; Every time I went out to the kitchen for something we'd get in to a conversation. xD And I was nice enough to let him have my Gamecube out in the living room, since I don't get much useage out of it. There's no cable here yet, but after I get that ever elusive job (which should be much easier in this area) I'm gonna get a hookup installed for my TV. Other then that everything works just fine. Phoneline right next to my bed, so I'm net-acessable (duh), MAX/Trimet station right down the street so I can get around, Freddy's and Winco close by for food stuffs. And a pool in the complex, but I kinda need a bathingsuit for that.
Ohyeah, Goddess must be smiling kindly on me this week. They said it was gonna rain yesterday, and it wound up being all sunny and stuff. This morning when I woke up it was pouring rain outside. ^^; Funny stuff.
Anywhozle. That's the big "I'm finally moved" update. If anyone needs my address, I'll post it when I remember where my address sheet is. <.<;
