May. 26th, 2014 12:50 pmFreja Rasmussen | Guardian, Norn (F, 21)
Short Bio
A strong norn woman, Freja isn't all that different from her norn brothers and sisters. She embodies the spirit of the Bear like so many others, and brings down a mighty wrath with greatsword and staff on any who cross her path. But get a mug of ale in her hand in the warmth of a hall surrounded by the laughter and chatter of others, she will be far more approachable. Though she doesn't actively seek friendship often, she certainly won't turn down an offer to join her at her table.
She has no set profession, though she loves the ring of an anvil and has been crafting armor, weapons and surprisingly fine jewelry for several years already. Her true calling currently, though, is wandering the lands of Tyria and making a name for herself - a common practice of many norn following their first Great Hunt.
Prod her enough though, and you might find there's a greater reason for her desire to make a name for herself.

Ilyana Ackermann | Ranger, Human (F, 19)
Short Bio
One of a set of firey redheads from the small villa of Shaemor, Ilyana and her brother Rurik have aspirations of eventually becoming Seraphs. Rurik's reasons are more clear than Ana's, who simply shrugs and says "It just sounds like a good way to help people" when asked why. Really, though, it's all because of Rurik - as twins they've been together since the start of their lives, and Ana has a difficult time imagining her life devoid of his presence entirely. She knows Ru can take care of himself, she really does! But it doesn't stop her from worrying about him doing something stupid and getting killed once he's initiated. So, clearly, she has to be there to make sure that doesn't happen!
On the side, Ana really enjoys cooking and has taken up a bit of leather working. She's just as big of a nature lover as her twin, though she'll never admit it aloud (even if as a ranger she's sort of obligated to tame all the things). What her brother lacks in common sense she makes up for, but on the reverse of that her temperament leaves something to be desired.

Gregori Sanderson | Engineer, Human (M, 26)
Short Bio
Greg always had a fascination with building and fixing things. Even when he was little, if something broke down on the family farm, he was the one who usually could fix it. It was a good skill to have, especially when he finally left home at the fresh young age of 18. Not... that he got very far. A trip to Divinity's Reach for the first time ever left him not only completely enamored with the huge human city, he came across a man who taught him everything there was to know about being an Engineer, including science. Building things, making them explode, working with chemicals and components?! Forget magic, this was where it was at! All of it sang to Greg like a siren's song, and he spent the next eight years in Divinity's Reach learning the trade.
Now he's ready to see the rest of the world, and he's bringing his devices and inventions with him every step of the way.
Long Bio
Architect Harmonia | Mesmer, Asura (M, age unknown)
Short Bio
It's well known that Asura value intelligence over all else, and that egos are not uncommon among them given their accomplishments and abilities. Most of them don't lack completely in the social skills department in spite of this, but every so often one does come along that holds great intellect but very little in other areas.
This was how Harmiona started, at least if his stories of his childhood are to be believed. He'll often talk about how he was passed from adviser to adviser because of his behavior - that he was either "too quiet" for their liking, or that when he did speak he was too rude and blunt for even an Asura to deal with! Why he was like this, or if it actually holds any water has yet to be revealed by Harmonia. So many just brush it off as exaggerations, prompting him often to simply agree with them.
He does admit earnestly that he did eventually wind up under the tutelage of Professor Zinga, who apparently saw the potential in him enough to put up with his behavior, and was the reason he eventually became one of the top candidates for the College of Statics. Whatever she did for him, it seems to have worked. His attitude certainly isn't the best around, but he's far more sociable now and much less likely to tear in to you verbally for no reason.
Whatever the case, he has a strong connection with the planning and building of large scale projects just like any other Statics inductee, and has high aspirations of one day planning something as big and grand as Rata Sum or the subterranean cities of old.
