Well...alrighty then. o_o I had an interestsing day, to say the least.
I woke up later then I had planned. I wanted to go find some supply stores to stock up on candles and inscence for Ostara. If I had left when I planned, this day wouldn't have been so...well I don't know what it was. o.o
Anyway, I hopped on the Canby bus to Oregon City at about 1:15ish, wandered around the transit station asking everyone I could if they knew where 42nd was, since that was the first store on my list. Visted there, got to talk to the really nice lady at the place, and found out some interesting facts about Portland, then got directions to Moonshadow on Hawthorne. Took the bus back down there, thinking I had enough time to got there, get some more stuff, and get back to Oregon City in time for the last bus to Canby.
I even thought I had enough time to stop for a late lunch with my Bento box outside a Hawthorne St. resturant. Bento boxes are good things my friends. :P
Anyway, I stupidily wandered up Hawthorne and crossed the street to the Fred Myers there and took the bus North instead of South. D'oh. BUT I met a really cool girl named Marcela and we traded phone numbers since she invited me to come over whenever she wasn't working. I made a friend! Yay! :D
So I kept going allllll the way in to Downtown Portland. Wow, that place has changed so much. But by then I realized "Oh shit...I'm lost." So, running around like crazy again over about a ten block radius, I kept asking bus drivers stupid questions.
"How do I get to Oregon City?"
"Bus 33."
*runrunrun*
"Which one is 33?"
"North or South?"
"Um...SOUTH."
"Other side of the street."*sighrunrunrunrunlookaroundconfsedly as there's about TWENTY freaking stops*
"...which one is 33?"
"Down there."
*bus goes by*
"AAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! *runscreampantruncatchbuswithsecondstospare*"
Of course by then I had long since missed the last bus to Canby, so calling Mom, who was of course worried as hell, she wandered around Oregon City until she found the KFC resturant next to the Oregon City transit station and picked me up. We went out to dinner then came home and I FINALLY saw Pirates of the Carribiean. Great movie.
Whew. What a day. x)
