Writer's Block: Holiday blues

Less, definitely. Which is a sad, painful, horrible thing to say, but it's the truth. I think I always knew growing up that once I got older the dynamic of the holiday season would change in some way, but losing my mom made it a massive change, since it was such an important holiday to her. She saved up every year just to make sure Mike and I had a good Christmas, especially when I was little.
I think this year might be better than some of the last ones, though, because I've made such wonderful friends at
digital_dive and
permanent_way, which has made a huge difference in how lonely I've felt in the past. It's a reminder that family and home is where you make it.
