Tangerine Ed

sharkcowsheep and myself for a 15 minute fic challenge with the prompt 'Orange', then later preformed at FanFic Bedtime Stories as the literal "blanket fic" using Cryo's Ed blanket and my Roy blanket. And a Tangerine. XD
Enjoy!
Tangerine Ed
It was the season of the winter holiday in Amestris, which meant that the little tangerines were in the market. Roy had brought a box of them to the office, and half of it had promptly disappeared in to various State Alchemists.
"Have one," Roy suggested. He fished a tangerine out of the box on his desk and lobbed it towards Ed. "I'm assured they're good this year."
Ed caught the thing and looked at it dubiously. He'd never had one.
"Go on," Roy urged. He leaned forward in his chair.
"You didn't call me in here to give me snacks," Ed retorted, but raised the tangerine to his mouth.
"You don't know exactly what I called you in here for," Roy shot back, gingerly lifting one in to his hand, balancing it on his fingers.
"Bah," mumbled Ed, biting in to his tangerine.
It tasted...odd. The peel was bitter and tough, though the inside was more pleasant. Sweet. And juicy.
He wasn't sure if he liked it.
Roy watched him chew. His own mouth opened slightly. Ed's throat bobbed gently as he swallowed.
Unable to pull his eyes away, Roy scrawled a clumsy note on the orders next to the box on his desk.
