"Mygod, Christmas is NEVER going to be the same..."

This is my determination now. With Joe and Krissie in my life, most holidays being spent with Shadow and Raven anyway, my family being out of the picture for the most part, and the fact that none of us are even really religous, we celebrate the holiday as a celebration of the season more than anything else, there is no way things are ever going to fall in to 'normal' again. XD

But hey, I'm okay with this.

So I got
A saki set *SQUEAL*
A Baliey's gift set with two mugs, hot chocolate, and Baliey's flavored chocolate
A beautiful ceramic angel
A lava lamp (ITS GLITTERY XD)
An Edward pillow case
And a Boo from Megatokyo plushie that actually SQUEAKS.

Since I've long since given up having an actual wish list for Christmas, I'm always happy to get ANYTHING. The Saki set was unexpected, though. The cups are beautiful. I'll have to take pictures at some point.

ANYWHOZLE.
So Christmas Eve morning we got up, got showers, gave Shiori her presents (three jingle balls and a drumstick-shaped plushie with catnip), and headed over to Raven's. We stopped at Safeway and got dinner stuff and walked to her place. For a while we just relaxed while Shadow, Joe, Krissie and I talked, and then after Raven's sister, her kids, Raven's kids, and Raven were all back in the house we started working on dinner. Had dinner at like...6ish, with me all the while finally getting to try Twilight Princess. zomg...so...PRETTY. I want it for myself now. @_@

So we ate, chatted for a while, opened presents, played Gauntlet Dark Legacy as a group, then chatted until like...two in the morning. OOPS. We were also fairly buzzed, with me at the worst for having just a bit toooo much. :) We finally went to sleep, only to be woken at 7 in the morning with Raven's daughter's dad calling, complaining that he, his wife, thier kids and Ri were all sick and that she had a 103-104 fever. Since it was up in the air what Raven was going to do, we took that as the cue to head back home, all of us half asleep and mildly hangovery.

We stopped at Sherri's for a very nice and big Christmas breakfast, dragged ourselves back home without some how passing out on the bus, and went back to sleep until 3 and 5 respectively. I was the last one to wake up, as my hangover decided to go from 'sort of' to 'HIIPUNCHYOUINDAFACENOWKTHX', so I had a massive headache to sleep off. Joe and I tried to go to McDonalds because none of us felt like cooking, only to find that it was CLOSED. WTF?! XD So we went to Carl's Jr which was, amazingly, open, got food, went to Rite Aid, got sodas, and went home to watch the end of The Mummy Returns, then a few hours of Scrubs. Horribly sappy Christmasy episodes on tonight. XD Gotta love it.

It was in Carl's Jr, waiting for food, that I realized that I was sitting in a Carl's Jr in my pjs and soaking wet slippers on a rainy Christmas evening with my boyfriend (also in his pjs), that Christmas normalicy had gone out the window. xP

Now Joe's playing one of his presents, Lego Star Wars II, which is SO FRAKING CUTE. They work tomorrow, I'm off until the 2nd, so I get to do some cleaning around the house after I take a trip downtown tomorrow.

MAN. I'm glad Christmas is finally over. XD I love the season, but I'm worn out.
