My room is starting to look emptier and emptier as I slowly shuffle things around in the few boxes I have and attempt to find ways to get this all packed. The apartment is litterally just up the road, though, so mostly I'm just worried about getting loose things that would get easily lost packed in to something coherent. When its all over I may have ten boxes total, if even that. Then there's the bed, the TV, the nightstand, the computer and all its varying peice (most of which go in to a lidless rubbermaid container as they have for years), the small set of plastic drawers I bought when I first moved, and my clothes.

As if to test my patience, I was struck with a horrible cold, the symptoms acting like allergies up until Sunday when I woke up with a raging sore throat and the sniffles. Since then its moved in to my lungs, but I'm fighting it much better than the last horrible cold I had. Mostly I'm just not pushing myself too hard to get everything done. I'm pacing myself and not worrying about the fact that my room is so trashed I can barely move in it.

Well, it was. Its a bit better now that I've gotten a few more boxes out.

I never realized before how attatched I was to certain things. I've got these old Mighty Ducks actionfigures from...ohgeez...96 I think. I refuse to get rid of them. They're old, missing peices like crazy, and one of them has a hand that was broken shortly after I got it but was superglued back on by Mom. They could be dyed half purple and missing an ARM and I'd probably still keep them.

I've given up alot of stuff since mom first went in the hospital. Hell since the first time we put our things in storage. There are things that I still wish I had but have no way of getting back, so when it comes right down to it if I'm clinging to something as silly as an action figure its because I have so few ties to my past already.

*sneeze* ...ow. yeahokay, the dust probably isn't helping. XD

And to answer the subject question in more detail...
"How many times have I moved now?"
Answer: 16 times in my entire life. Yes, I have been keeping track.
"How many time since getting LiveJournal have I moved?"
Answer: 7 times. That's SEVEN times in three years, folks. Jezumcrow I think my head just spoloded...

Thank goddess this place is a year lease..
