jenioctavia: (No idea)
I forgot how easily I get hurt. I'm one of those kinds of people that goes months and months with minor, stupid injuries, like stubbing my toe or bonking my head. But when I manage a good slip up I manage a GOOD. FUCKING. SLIPUP.

I was walking out of work, on the phone with Krissie and waiting for Joe to call also. The sidewalk around work is surrounded by a pretty decent sized slope and only a few places are really good for getting in and out by foot. One place has become the 'offical' pathway for walkers from the Milikan Way MAX stop (and to, of course). I was heading that way and looked up as these three young guys were walking over the crosswalk. I looked down to watch my footing and yet somehow still managed to completely lose my balance. My foot went out from under me, I shrieked and hit the ground. Hard. Not only that but my hand went back, either subconsiously or by already being there, and in 'breaking' my fall I damn near broke my fucking elbow. Now it hurts like hell and I'm covered in dirt. I'm probably gonna shower soon cause I just feel overall icky after that. But the guys were really cool. I heard them yell in suprise and call out "Are you okay?!". I assumed they ran the rest of the way across the street cause they weren't that close when I biffed it like the idiot I am. They helped me up and kept asking if I was gonna be okay, cause the first time the guy went for my hand I cried out in pain. I just held my arm to my stomach and said I was fine and went on my way with a thanks to them. Scared the crap out of Krissie momentarily, though.

Also I saw a wreck on the way to work today. A car had smashed front first in to a telephone pole. The front wheels were a foot off the ground from the impact. It actually made me gasp when I saw the damage. =/

*shakes head* Wierd day...
