*hugs* Glad to see you're still hanging in there, even if things are tight and difficult right now :( I can't really help you on the job front, but as far as Sakuracon goes - how close do the con do you live, anyway? Cause I will have a car down there, I can pick you up and bring you out/drop you off back at home at night so you wouldn't have to pay bus fares.
