MuchShorterThanUsual Con Report Goodness

Why short?
Well several reasons.
One, my mental state is currently hindered by the fact that the mutant flu that struck everyone but me down kindly waited until after the con to get me. However this leaves me in a very horribly feeling state.
Two, I didn't take that many pictures, so I'm just going to slap the album link up here for people to look at.
Three, I didn't do as much as I had planned. Money problems played a part in it, and also I just kind of felt rather out of it for most of the con. I think being a big city that wasn't my own had something to do with that.
Anyway.
Quick breakdown from what I can remember.
Thursday -
Hauled myself along with Joe and Krissie as my pack mules down to the bus station. That was hell in its self, and gave me an indication that it wasn't going to be smooth sailing. The construction downtown got me there RIGHT as the bus was due to depart. Luckily I made it. Got to Everett, was picked up by Koto and her friend Mitchell and had some really awesome Teryaki. Dude. Boba tea = not so bad after all. Had some really, REALLY good stuff at the resturant. Mitchell likes Christopher Titus. That wins him points in my book.
Went back to Koto's place and basically crashed for the night.
Friday - Got up early. Koto had an interview and couldn't get the day off, so I was forced to wander around alone at yet another con. I automatically gravitated towards the Creation Station, which I was soooo happy to find was seperated in to different rooms this year for art and fiction/pannels.
blackjackrocket ,
chibihentaichan , and
ketsuban were all there, along with a few others I'd seen at Kumoricon.
cryogenia wasn't due until later because she also had to work. I went to a few random panels here and there, mainly Fanfic 101/102, Rooster Teeth, and a How to Draw one. Sadly, and one of the more dissapointing things that happened, they moved Vic's panel and I went unawares of it. By the time I got to the room he was ending it and it was horrible packed. That really got me down and was probably one of the deciding factors behind me either getting to things supersuper early from then on, or just not going at all.
Koto came later in the day and we attended a few more panels. We went to Guide to Con Dating, which to us was just hallarious. We used our phones to write texts making comments about it. Then we went to YaoiZowie! which was a very excelent and very well put together panel. I enjoyed the woman who was giving it, and her take on the history and statstics of it. After that was NonCannon pairings, which went very well.Cryo did a magnificient job, and I got almost all of it recorded.
All I have to say is
Winry/Automail really is OTP. XDDDDDD
And Katsu, your pairings are lovable crack.
Went home, crashed out. Nothing spectacular.
Saturday -
Ohhhman.
We picked up Mitchell and got there later than I wanted to, which meant I missed meeting the Rangers and thusly put me in an even further mode of irritation about trying to accomplish anything beyond small panels. Also found out that our expenses that we thought we had covered weren't after all, so I was essentially out of spending money. I wasn't all that bothered by it, actually. The Merch hall was a mad house anyway. Koto was kind enough to buy me a rather impressive find, though. PGSM figures. Actual PGSM figures. I'll have to get a picture of it later. (unfortunately she's now damaged. my cat got a hold of her and her hand has a few bite marks in it. T_T)
We seperated so I could attend the Ranger's panel, which for what I was there for was actually quite good. I got to see Vic (YAY) and give him the Ed doll (DOUBLEYAY), AND got a hug and a "that's so sweet!" for it (*diesnowplzkthx*). The premere of his video was HALLARIOUS, and Edo's wonderful remix-video of Nothing I Won't Give has got me hooked on that song.
I left the panel after him. I would have stayed, but for one I wanted to see the autograph line (freaking insane, didn't go), and I was also starting to feel rather sore. My first indication that I was getting sick. So if I got anyone else sick I'm really sorry. D:
I went back down to the Creation Station and hung out with a girl I'd met the day before and another that I met that day, and got lunch with them while discussing Roleplay and the like. Also witnessed a poor Ed getting hauled up to Subway by a Roy and found out that apparently she'd been running around like a loon and hadn't eaten in about two days. We thusly forced cookies and water down her while the Roy was waiting in line to get real food.
After that it was pretty much just hanging out and wandering. Koto went home with Mitchell and I was left to my own devices since I was staying with Cryo and
wiccat as Cryo lived four blocks away. I wound up doing Fanfic Madlibs and 15 Minute Fic Challenge with
sharkcowsheep , who was totally amazing. It was so much fun! I'm going to type up our fic challenge and post it later.
Also, Katsu and several others decided that my poor Alphonse needed to be molested and have other bad things happen to him. Damn you, Katsu. XD Damn you.
Oh. And. Two interesting things.
I've been threatened under pain and punishment to watch Oran Host Club (is that how it's spelled?) by Kumoricon. I will, I promise!
AND.
ChibiHentai said if I got my Breda costume she'd dress up as Shez and kiss me. x) I'm so doing it.
Anyway.
SharkCow and I read our fic (aptly titled Tangerine Ed) and actually had two other people using mine and Cryo's Ed and Roy blankets to act out the fic, thus giving a new term to 'Blanket Fic' as well as getting us recgonition for it. The other fics were awesome, Cryo sang Heidrich the Bootleg Elric which made me really happy. ChibiHentai did her Piano Man fic, to which we all sang a long with.
After that me, Cryo and Wiccy headed back to her place for nightcaps and some rather...disturbing IRC chat logs along with stuff involving Dojin, an Ed doll and an Envy doll. Check the picture folder if you dare to! XD
Sunday -
Woke up at 9:30 despite my best efforts to sleep in. Waited and waited for either Wiccy or Cryo to get their butts up, which never happened, so I went to Piano Squall on my own instead. The show was AWESOME, and Vic coming out had so many of us fangirls in tears, me included! I didn't stay for autographs because I was worried that Ellen might close CS while my stuff was still there, and I wanted to make sure I caught a few people before the con was over.
Cryo scared the crap out of us by 'appearing' as the Gate, and hallarious pictures and conversations ensued.
Apparently Fred G. vanished. He had to fly out so his autograph panel was canceled. That also made me pretty sad. D:
Koto, who sadly was not feeling up to the last day, came and picked me up, and my body finally gave in to the soreness and sickness. I was supposed to go dancing with her and Mitchell, but I was barely awake as it was after five hours of sleep, and the aching and horrible feeling wouldn't go away, so I stayed at her place and watched Sailor Moon, My Neighbor Totoro, and The Last Unicorn. Then promptly passed out.
Monday -
Went to Seattle to catch my bus. Saw a few stragglers from the con also, but no one I recgonized. The busride was quiet for the most part, and I got a chance to reflect on a lot of things, especially how I react to cons and the like. Made it home, checked messages, fixed the Furcadia bot (which had crashed while I was gone), then promptly spent the rest of the day on the couch. All in all it was fun, though I could have done without the whole changing Vic's schedules, ungodly lines, and never being able to find a single Ranger (Well I breifly ran in to one but she didn't seem to be a usual forum goer). Getting a hug from him made it better, and the fact that I actually got to hang with several of my Kumoricon friends was awesome.
Maybe I do kind of resign myself to one room for most of my con days, but honestly I don't mind. The crowds are a bit much for me, but I love what happens in the Creation Station. EVERY CON NEEDS A CREATION STATION. THEY ARE FULL OF WIN. And so is Ellen. <3
I didn't get anything aside from the PGSM figure, but I did receive a few peices of random art, plus the fic that
sharkcowsheep and I wrote.
Kumoricon, though, is meeting my shopping wrath. >3
For now I do believe I'm going to go watch Joe play God of War then probably play Shadow of the Colossus.
