Wine glasses are all the rage...

I'm sitting here with a glass of Sangria, iced, Joe in the shower, almost three in the morning, and I'm still wearing my jacket from when we got in ten minutes ago.

I'm sitting here like this because I'm honestly wondering why the fuck I'm so easily freaked out...

...I don't have a sufficent answer.

Suppose the better question is...
why did the Silent Hill games give me nighmares
but I was honestly okay with the movie
and 30 Days of Night has got me paranoid as all be damned
Saw II made me hurl
Stay Alive actually fucked with my head
but I can play any Resident Evil and be marginally okay with it?

jaysus my brain is easy to toy with

if nothing else

at least I'm willing to (mostly) face my fears...

Horror movies are evil. Even the previews give me nightmares...

I'm really sad aren't I?

Nah. XD; We're all just affected differently.

I used to think that Chucky was going to come into my bedroom and kill me if I left the door open. That was from a commercial.

I honestly don't have a problem with a good suspense plot, but the second they start needlessly slashing people to bits, I get queasy and need to get out of the situation. To me, that's not real horror that's unnecessary violence, really gross, and pointless.

At least in Japanese horror films the blood looks so fakey that I can honestly convince myself it's not real. And this is odd because I can't watch horror anime, and it should be so much easier to break belief in those situations. Hellsing still makes me sick to my stomach.

Certain movies (like 30 Days) I can understand the blood. They're vampires, and not the overdramatic they might read you poetry before biting in to you kind. The true-to-how-nature-would-have-it messy, violent, and animalistic kind.

But yeah, most slasher films, I cannot STAND at all. The Saw series makes me want to beat some one for its existence.

Horror anime I don't mind so much, and I love Japanese horror flicks.
