Windmill windmill for the land...
Aug. 24th, 2009 10:13 pmYears ago, I snagged a song from one of Cryogenia 's recommendations called Munich by a band called the Editors. I'm pretty sure she rec'd it because it reminded her of Edward from FMA being in Germany. ... maybe. That's a guess since it's been ages.
Anyway, I liked it, but I never thought twice about getting more Editors.
I think I will now, because I just found a cover of Gorillaz's Feel Good Inc done acoustically by the Editors. And... I'll admit it. It made me cry a little. It's just... i'unno. I wouldn't say 'perfect' as the original is of course the view of the creator and therefor as close to perfection. But something about it brought in some of the emotion that is missing from the original. Especially how the interjected the "I'm so glad that I found this" line from Munich.
Of course part of the point of Feel Good Inc was for there to be a void of emotion, but now I'm just getting in to odd philosophical territory.
In either case, enjoy
